1. Survey Sites — Prolific, YouGov, Swagbucks
Prolific pays £6-12/hour for academic surveys, one of the best rates online. YouGov pays in gift cards but is very reliable. Swagbucks is another solid option for more casual surveys and tasks. (Sign up for Swagbucks free)
2. Cashback Apps — Cheddar, TopCashback
Shop through cashback links and get a percentage back. TopCashback has the best rates in the UK. I have personally earned over £400 back on purchases I was already making. (Join TopCashback free)
3. Bank Switch Offers
The UK government protects bank switching incentives. Switch to Chase, Lloyds, or Barclays and earn £100-200 per switch. These offers come and go, so it pays to keep an eye on deal communities.
4. Referral Bonuses

5. Micro Task Sites — Amazon Mechanical Turk, Clickworker

7. Selling Unused Items — Facebook Marketplace, eBay
Your old electronics, clothes, and furniture are worth money. One clear-out can easily yield £200+ and you probably have stuff lying around anyway.
8. Cashback Credit Cards
If you pay with a cashback credit card (like some Amex cards), you earn on every purchase. Always pay off in full — the cashback is not worth paying interest.
9. Register Interest / Waitlist Offers

Get paid £7-10 per 10-minute test. You just record your screen and speak your thoughts. No expertise needed.

Play games on your phone and earn points redeemable for gift cards. Not for everyone but it genuinely pays out.
My Honest Take
Most of these methods will not make you rich, but they can add up to real money over time. Survey sites and cashback apps are the easiest wins. I have made over £500 this year just from things I was already doing online. Bank switching is the fastest route if you have got accounts to move.
Always stick to legitimate platforms. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
